Have been messing with four different varieties for last few years, but am still in the dark about one thing ! What to do ( if anything ) with the reddish clump of male flowers on the tip of every banana stalk I am lucky enough to grow ? Some say cut it off, others say leave it alone. Someone else told me if I do cut it off, be careful WHERE I cut !!!

Attached pic is of my last stalk of goldfingers, taken 3 mos ago. I didn't cut the lower fingers off so it's still as shown, only fatter fingers !

Have a few more stalks on the verge of emerging, , - undecided what to do,.. just curious,..thanks !!
