WHY would you prune such a small tree? When you prune a tree that size you also stop the roots from growing.

I pruned it because I don't like my citrus tall / leggy and I like them shorter and fatter. I took 2 feet off my Gold Nugget last year for the same reason and its doing great. I didn't like its shape and I was trying to encourage some lower branches. I also pruned allot off my meyer last fall and its doing great. These are all container trees as well.

Nice list. I recommend Pixie as another late season mandarin.

I just purchased a Kishu from Four Winds so my mandarins are complete now unless my local nursery is able to acquire a sumo. So now I’ll have mandarins from Nov - summer.

Kishu- Nov-Dec

Okitsu Wase Satsuma- Dec-Jan

Tahoe Gold- Jan- March

Yosemite Gold- Feb- April

Gold Nugget- Feb- summer

I also have a dwarf wash navel .

where are you located?

BTW in my areas, the SKishus are not ready until late Dec. and the OkitsuWs are not ready until early Dec. ...and nearly rotted by Jan. 1st.

And, my GoldNs are not ready to harvest until late March or early April.

I think the dates can vary somewhat dependent on the relative severity or temperance of the growing seasons... but the above has been pretty much consistent the last 3 years in my areas.
