plant plug sources

I’ve been looking for some places to buy plant plugs without having to order a minimum order of hundreds. In the UK, ordering plant plug trays is rather common. Not so by my search in the US. I’d love to buy coleus plugs. Has anyone here found a source for the hobby gardener?

Is not uncommon in the US. Just not common in retail. Lots of online companies.

That’s what I meant, just ambiguously stated. It’s more available in retail in the UK than in the US. I think it would be fun to pot up a bunch of started plugs, just not in wholesale volumes. I’m sure delivering is a challenge.

Usually, such things are sold in cel-pak or 4" pots at the local garden center during the Spring of each year. But it is hit or miss if they have the exact variety you're looking for.

Hi Darrell, have you found any good place for purchasing plant plugs? I agree 100% with you. They are popular in UK but here you have to have a wholesale license to buy them. I probably would find a distributor willing to sell me a tray but I really don’t need 72 Heuchera of one kind …
