Sad sad exterior

February 2, 2018

My husband and I purchased our 70s split entry home based on some awesome interior aspects and three beautiful acres only ten minutes from his work. We have remodeled almost the entire interior, and are turning our attention to the exterior. I'm completely stuck. The back of the house is beautiful, but it's completely bankrupt of any curb appeal.

One problem I'm having is that the brick is warm colors; tan, red, etc. The siding is a cool gray. For the life of me, I can't seem to pick a front door color.

We are resurfacing the driveway and probably putting a patio where the current rock flowerbed is. Maybe some stamped concrete or something. We are open to a pergola or something like that.

Any landscaping ideas? Or porch decor?

Our budget doesn't allow for major architectural changes or new siding. I'd be grateful for any other suggestions at all!
