Aegis, if this is kind of a poll here is my answer.

As you know, I would love to have both! But if I had to choose one over the other, I would choose Funambule. The pattern in the blossom is similar to "RQR", but the color in "F" is a little more intense. And a few more petals. It also has variegated leaves. A plus in my book!

On the other hand RQR has a softer color look to the blossoms. The color is not shouting. And the leaves are just a nice plain green. It is more of a "quiet riot" instead of full out war.

As far as care and any problems growing it I am not qualified to answer.

But one other thing a lot of people have to consider is getting "trapped" in too many of the same color. I tend to do that. If you want a well rounded collection, then you have to remember what you have and see what will compliment it.

I have the FA, don't have the RQR to compare it to. I would not necessarily categorize my FA as a really prolific bloomer but it does ok. Sounds to me like the RQR would be the better choice.

RQR -- my choice out all you've shown. It's a beauty!

Both are very nice. I like the variegation on FA and it does have nice flowers, but there is something about the streaked fantasy of RQR that is very, very appealing.

I'd go with the Funambule, but I like the semi double better than the single, plus you have the interest of the pink variegation on the leaves when not in bloom. It is said to be a consistent bloomer. Of course, if you really want some extra pizzazz in this color you might like the Russian EK Scarabei. It has cornflower blue, double blossoms with frilled light purple edges and thin streaks of cream fantasy. The variegated leaves
are about the color of magnolia leaves, with plain edges. It's one of my

Aegis, I had Funambule. It was carefully well grown by an expert, I bought it at a club. It was extremely attractive and long- lasting I never had the same success with RQR. Not as stable. Joanne

I grew Scarabei. It was nice but very dark so the color contrast was subtle. Joanne
