Bathroom Reno Different Vanity ideas
or a black floating cabinet with wood top.
It's a small bathroom, the area would fit a 60" cabinet but we can only find 55". would it look funny to position it in the middle?
also, any other ideas? some inspo pics and also a picture of our kitchen to show our first reno and our style. not fully finished (window and lighting being improved.
We like to be thrifty. Spending $1200 on a vanity seems way too high! help!

8 years agolast modified: 8 years agooh good! For a rental that we flipped, I found a little mcm asian style cabinet/dresser, painted it glossy black, crystal knobs, did a marble vessel sink (on clearance at HD) & topped it w/a remnant marble piece. total price for all of it? $200.
if you guys are into some DIY, check out this blog. This girl is amazing with what she builds and gives great tutorials. She has everything you need for your house.

is this for the bathroom floor or shower area? if for the floor, do it yourself. see that basketweave tile floor and all of the tile in the room? I did it myself. took me a week, but I taught myself how to do it. (this was about 6 years ago. I'd done a few other tile projects but this was a lot more involved)
bought those tiles off craigslist for $5 a sheet or so. someone had bought too much for a project and was selling off the leftovers. bought up a bunch of marble 1x1 tiles as well. $4 sq ft! craigslist.(I used those on the shower floor and in the square accent on the wall)even if you only find half of what you need, you can pay full price for the matching ones elsewhere. Another option is to check out clearance bins at tile stores or online. (tilebar.com and discountglasstilestore.com has sale lots)
those hex tiles for that price is way too much. try BuildersDepot.com. they have quality marble for a decent price. for instance, these 3x3 marble tile sheets are about $12

you could try these porcelain tiles. these are 8x9, but some are larger. they come in all colors. Or the ones that look like the cement. these are easy enough for you guys to lay.

might end up going for something like this though. big big tiles for floor and shower just like the inspo pic. we found these (similar) elsewhere for half the price

i like those! i just found a pic of this vanity and thought this would be so easy to make. you could do you live edge top piece.
even if you had to support it, you could made a frame and attach it to your studs w/lag bolts.
or this one,,you could do the hex tiles on the wall behind the vanity
- 8 years agoOh I hope you love this as much as we do! I'm stealing my industrial cart from my retail store and using it as our vanity! found some hexagon tiles on clearance!! And got a tile that looks Like wood for the shower walls.
