Hi Jody, Your second picture down from the top; I 'm fairly sure it is not Tres Chic. Tres Chic has some red in the throat as you can see in this picture but even though you can't see the throat of your second picture, I feel sure that it is one of the Komoriyas. Which it is, I couldn't tell you but it surely is gorgeous!! Perhaps you could put a picture of this next to a picture of Pretty Woman so compare? Is this second flower out now and if so, could you take a picture of the throat just to firm up whether it has red or not like Tres Chic does.

Yep, I agree with Fred that looking at your pictures, I see another crazy hippeastrum person just like so many of the rest of us, Fred and I included!!!

Fred, Your Sweet Potato Pie aka Terra Mystica is going to put on quite a show, I can't wait to see it!!! I think with what you have blooming at work, you can educate your fellow employees with a demonstration on how hippeastrums make babies!! Wouldn't it be fun for your friends to watch the seed pod grows to fruition!! But, knowing you, you've already done that!!!

My Terra Mystica aka Sweet Potato Pie bloomed a few months ago with just one scape but larger flowers but not as many as you're going to have!!

Donna, no red so I guess the tag is correct. It was only that the bulb is so large that I wondered.

Fred, your blooms are gorgeous! And Exotic Star certainly has star quality. Love these spring blooms! Oh, and I never count my bulbs lol.

I wanted to show you that when the Junihitoe selfed some seedlings bloomed as doubles and some as singles but all (so far) have the same coloring. The doubles are above, but a single just bloomed

Jody, I love your spring blooms, especially your not Tres Chic and your single Junihitoe! It looks as if you are kind of lucky in getting mislabels from Komoriya :-) Maybe you could put some of Pretty Womans pollen on it...?

On the second picture it looks as if the mislabel is a real trumpet. Is that true?

Fred, my Terra Mystica was as tall as yours this year and the flowers lasted very long! Please post pictures when they flower!

Jody, I am amazed that you got seeds from your double Junhitoe, did it actually self itself?? That was very lucky!! I think that where you live is like where Béatrice in France lives, a mecca for happy hippies!!!

Speaking of Komoriya mislabels, several years ago I had ordered a corriensence hybrid and it arrived rotting so they didn't have any more at that time they said and I chose something else. So, last year they were listing them again and so I bought 2 of them at dfferent times. The bulbs have entirely different shapes and one has a very elongated neck so not knowing which is the true corrienscnce hybrid, I am sure that eventually, I'm for a surprise, I hope it good like the ones you get!

Thanks Joey, everything is flowering or pushing up scapes. My hippi garden is green most of the year and then erupts in such amazing colors in the spring!

Beatrice, I was also wondering if Pretty Woman was a nelsonii hybrid. What do you think? Do you see similarities with yours?

Jody, you papilio x psittacinum x cybister is very interesting! It is quite Exotic. I don't think I saw pics of this on Telos before. Do you think they were seed grown or vegetative lyrics produced? It looks as if it would be named Jungle Book haha! ~ Joey

For something different. This is Eucrosia bicolor with most of the flowers open. (Amaryllidaceae) that is as easy as Griffinia to grow. This came to me as a mislable

nelsonii only has 2 flowers per scape , I have no idea witch variety they used to increase the number of flowers.....idem with their Green and Saturn , it has 4 flowers, seems to have mandonii inside who has 2 flowers / scape...no idea

Béatrice, I love your Green&Saturn! I think it has also H.aulicum in it and there are forms of aulicum that have four flowers. Maria posted pictures of those. Maybe this was the other parent?

Beatrice that is a beautiful flower!! Amazing colors - so vivid! Like Anja, I too see H. aulicum in it :) regardless it is lovely.

Indeed it looks like "aulicum inside" and indeed, yes, when you raise H.aulicum from seed, there is some seedlings which will reliably produce 4 florets per scape from a mature bulb.
