So on expectations, if damaged, the white glove delivers will take it back? Is that what insurance would cover?

It depends on the delivery company, it will help if you tell me where are you located to see which company will deliver to your area and what is their policy .

I can not speak for them as we are an independent home decor company but most Insurance will have the right to repair the piece , if it can not be restored to its original condition then they will replace or Pay the insured amount.
