Natalie, they say it's smart to consider your wood tone, and cherry seems a red tone more than orange, but it's quite muted..... as to the shades, they seem more warm colors [than cool]. so I wouldn't have grey. Linen-look fabric is nice.

On my monitor the shades are purple & peach/coral and the chairs are gray. I'm assuming this is your living room? I would do a cream color rug. I would not use the stripe pillows or purchase the gold one. Please post a picture of the entire room.

Solid shiny gold pillow on sage-y green is ok, but from a mere photo, doesn't work with delicate, soft pattern at windows.

I'd likely do a creamy moroccan style rug that has minimal touches of colour in it.

Idea- suggestion is this rug, labelled 'urban' sort of like your furniture [has nicely slight amount of texture]. Biscuit color is my attempt to bring in paint color.

Impossible to tell exact color grey of sofa - it's a soft garden traditional look of shades - do you basically like them? Could buy a sofa cover in linen color, beige, oatmeal, fine...
