Grout color selection

Trying to decide which color grout to use. I'm going for very subtle contrast in the shower and even less contrast on the floor. Subway tile will not meet floor anywhere in the room. It's a standard alcove bath/shower. Subway tile is Daltile k-101 Kohler white.

Also, does anyone see a pink undertone in this quartz? It is Silestone Statuario and this in the garage under fluorescent light. Does it work with this floor?

Florescent lighting is horrible. take a pic of it in natural light or w/your cooler toned bulbs. warmer bulbs will lend a yellow tone to it.

I like Mapei Warm Grey. I used it with my marble and on my subway tiles

To determine undertone color compatibility of the tiles, would look at them in the bathroom - under the lighting where they will be used.

To choose grout color, I purchased small bags of the different colors I was considering. Then I placed several pieces of tile on kraft paper and dry grouted sections with the different colors. Well worth the investment.

Thank you! The lighting in the bathroom is going to change significantly so it’s hard to bring anything in there now to get an accurate read. Everything looks pink. We grouted one tile this evening with Snow White and it looks perfect. Alabaster is too yellow and I don’t even think we need to try bright white. Snow White looks great.

lol..ok,,if snow white looks perfect and great, then why ask?? lol using pure white grout in the shower is a big mistake tho. what brand/kind of grout did you pick? regular cement based grout? again, pure white, big mistake w/that type of grout.

If Snow White looks perfect then stick with that.

I asked before I did the sample tile. The snow white ended up drying much whiter than I hoped overnight. It still looked light grey last. It looks great on the floor but not enough contrast with the wall tile. Is it strange to use different colors for floor and wall? This is just a Custom brand non-sanded grout from Home Depot because of the marble floor, which I plan to seal. We can use something different in shower but my contractor hates working with Epoxy grout so he wont use it. I will look for the Mapei brand today. Gorgeous bathroom, Beth!
