We’re visiting New Zealand, and now I’m on a mission. We’ve been eating fresh and canned “Black Doris” plums, and the canned ones especially, are the best I’ve ever eaten. Quite different to the US varieties I’m used to.

My Google Fu has failed me in finding any reference to this tree outside NZ, Amazon doesn’t even sell the canned fruit. Do any of you know if this tree can be had in North America? Does it possibly go by a different name elsewhere?
