Are you replacing your cabinets?

Will you still need a place somewhere in the kitchen for a calendar and desk supplies and phone?

What will you store in the pantry? Food, appliances, special cooking tools/utensils, paper products, pet supplies?

If you're getting all new cabinets and want a pantry in that spot, why not do full-height pantry cabinets with pull out shelves?

when you say"plan to make white shaker" for the other part of kitchen...are you painting..doing a renovation, replacing doors, refacing, ..what exactly? Looks like some blond wood,,,veneer/ slab? I'd really leave those and improve things around the space unless you actually need a renovation for some reason. It's not clear what your entire project is about.

Instead of the desk and existing cabinets, how about a piece of furniture - big armoire, hutch or chest depending on storage needs.

Here are two pics from my old kitchen. You could do some cabinets like the ones we had at the ends of these runs. Do you need a coffee area? Or a bar area? Do you need a TV? I feel like that area could work for any of those things. Sorry the pics are a mess--wasn't a "photo shoot" day--just regular mess!
