We built our home 5 years ago. Did eephus pillars combined with stone on the bottom, in the front and back porch. We recently had a bad hail storm that put huge holes in the eephus. My question is should we repair the eephus or go with something else like cedar or some other wood pillars? We live in The Panhandle of Texas, so hail storms are not unusual. And have had hail before. This was a unusually bad hail storm. Any advise would be appreciated!
