It doesn’t look like you need a rug there, but if you are just looking to add some color, an oriental style area rug would look nice, IMO. Sheepskin I think would be too small and not really relate to anything else in the room.

I say no rug but I like the idea of a sheepskin rug draped over the piano bench. Colorful, fun art on the walls and an interesting drapery pattern on the window will punch up the style.

You could frame album covers for an art impact above the piano.
