Sleep Deprivation in Plants?

My timer had a wardrobe malfunction when the screw clip slipped and stopped turning off the lamps. It was a few days, I am sure, before I noticed this.

It got me to wondering, what happens to plants they go without darkness? Maybe the intensity of my lamps are no where the intensity of outdoors but still....

Do they get groggy, grumpy, lose concentration?
