If wrong sucker crown on mini removed, think it can still bloom?

Somehow this went from this.

Sucker crown:

That's what happened since I removed sucker crown and repotted in mid-January. Think this can recover, look better and will bloom for me one of these days? Don't seem to have room or luck with propagating mini leaves, so I'm not adverse to chucking plant (to someone) if hopeless. Hey, that's a new one -- chucking violets at people is my alternative to gifting them. :-)

Never did look like this, but I remain hopeful, lol

Glad my standards don't suffer the same demise from my handling as my minis or I would have given up growing AVs months ago!

I thought if you remove the main crown it's gone, never to return--THIS statement is absolutely correct. But,,,,if you remove the main crown you may get suckers to take its place.

But you are saying the original crown will grow back. NO,,,I didn't mean to imply the original crown will grow back. The original crown will never grow back, again only suckers may be produced around that area.

Apparently I saw something in the pix that isn't there. You may have removed the correct sucker after all. I would take Irina's advice and let it grow. If perfection is what you want,,,,,,as the leaves mature move them into place with toothpicks or something until you have the leaves where you want them.

You do have a nice little plant,,,,I would just let it bloom and love it!

I am sorry if I confused you. My computer died and I have to borrow one to get online. Hopefully in a week or so I will have another one! Then maybe my brain will unscramble and I won't be in such a hurry! Sorry. Rosie

dviolet I could see the sucker crown in the first pix! Ok, now it is larger, if you want it gone, then gently use the pointed end of something to carefully remove the sucker leaf by leaf. Course you can't start them, they are too little, but it will get them out of the way of the crown leaves. Your original crown will lay its leaves correctly with a little time. Rosie

Here's another shot, a little darker but clearer without flash.

Not sure I understand...I see 4 little leaves directly in the center. Removing all 4 will restart a main crown?? Where would the main crown grow from?

I thought if you remove the main crown it's gone, never to return. And only suckers will grow now.... If that's true my question would be: would leaving one sucker produce blooms?

But you are saying the original crown will grow back...

Or...am I wrong and I really removed the correct sucker after all. Goodness,,,I am really complicating this...hahahaha :-D

:-) Oh, sorry all. This last one is the same as the very first one in this this thread, and is what the plant looks like today.

I originally posted it in descending date order. My bad.

It will bloom. The plant can look a bit crooked, but who cares.

It is a mini (or semi?) it is variegated - and if you treat it nice - it probably will not throw many suckers - and now you know how remove them If you keep your "crown" and let it grow - it will eventually grow out of being crooked, Since you had trouble deciding which is the main crown - and which is a side shoot - I presume they were close - and sometimes we have a double crown - even size shoots growing off the stem- even spruce can have double top - rarely,

In this case - you just bravely lop off any one of them - and hope it won't do it again,

Thanks all, I don't mind crooked leaves and center on it, and sounds like there is hope for it to bloom. I had to toss a mini the other day that didn't make it after repotting, which might actually have a bright side to it -- only my strongest plants survive and I get to free up shelf space for more plants... :-)
