I pushed the season too, and planted tomatoes and peppers Feb 5. A risk! But they made it through and I"ve got little tomatoes and peppers on the plants already.... Glad we didn't get a late frost!

The problem is at least in central Florida is that we have lows of 41 coming. This will get interesting. The good news is this only at night and it gets back in the 60s during the day. At least my chinese cabbage will have a chance at closing up now.

We've had low 40s at night for the past couple of nights and for 4 more. My tonatoes, eggplants and peppers all look fine. Daytime has been 70 or so - I guess that helps. Shrubs, flowers and veggies all seem to not mind as of now. Might slow growth a little.

40 degrees won't kill Everglades. What kills them is the heat. They love cool weather, but tend to die quickly once the heat and humidity hit.

It is just crazy the way those Everglades are able to grow. They self seed and end up all over the place. They show up and grow even without watering!
