The other side of the room. I agree it definitely looks monochromatic on the other side. I was planning on adding green plants. And maybe assorted succulents on the coffee table. Will that be enough to add some color ?

I love the monochromatic look and you've done it very well with all the textures. I think plants would add the little pops of color without taking away from the overall design.

And I would consider a paper with a metallic to it. It will read much lovelier than a flat paper finish in this space.

Love the framed wallpaper idea! Beautiful start, but it looks like no one lives there. Yes, plants would help bring life into the space as well as some lamps and books.

If I should opt for a colored wallpaper, how about aqua or sky blue like this one - https://www.fschumacher.com/item/5008352 . Its hard to say whether its flat or metallic from the picture.

I love your inspiration photo (I have done three panels in my dining room) but the difference is that the papers you choose are more of a graphic repeat pattern than the inspiration. I think you might need something more flow-y...

I love the idea for the space. If you could do something with mostly the black/white/grey with just a little pop of color in it, that would be great. I know what I am thinking in my mind but haven't found a picture yet. Will post if I do.

Is color difficult for you? If it is, it's fine. Lots of stunning rooms are all neutrals.

Would you do this yourself? It would be an easy switch up if you got bored with a vivid lime green or a mustardy color...plus you could distribute the same color around with pillows and tchotchkes....

I think that room is begging for some color. The inspiration pic you posted has bright yellow and a light background?

These two are the artwork that I have ordered to go next to the dining area.The artwork below is already on the opp wall. I think yellow might be a good accent color although I started the project leaning toward cerulean blue.

I'm not afraid of color. This post was to gather input on the wallpaper that can deliver that punch either thru color or pattern. Its most likely going to be 100x70 inches big so I need to ensure I'm not lost in the myriad of options available.

That's much better than a structured repetitive print. Get samples to feel the quality and intensity.

I got mine from an etsy seller who will customize. But really, there are tons of murals online.

Post a pic when you're done, it's going to be a real focal point (and a jumping off point for accessories).

Given the size you mention and the wall of cubbies, I would look for a wallpaper that has less repetitive geometry and more flow and refinement than trees trunks or trellis imagery. Hope you share your final choices, the space looks like it is coming along beautifully.

I would be a tad more refined in your color choices also...but that's just my own preference.

This was already on the wall in the sunroom when we bought the house last year. At first I thought I would take it down, but it has grown on me and I don’t feel like doing all that extra work, lol. It makes the narrow room feel wider, and there’s plenty to look at when I’m bored. The sofa below it is navy blue, looks black in the photo.

Mahones is a great place to use. Don't forget that the Cow Parsley paper now comes in many more colourways. Also,the trees in the above photo look to be another Cole and Son paper. Not the paper the OP posted.

Actually yellow goes good with gray.

Oh, what a lovely idea. I wonder if it would work behind an upright piano. It’s too tall for normal artwork to look right imo. The room is a bit long so I could maybe do a large main panel and two narrower panels. I’m totally borrowing this!

While it does go well with yellow cow parsley citrus, yellow is not my fav color. I still find myself leaning toward the dusty patina -https://www.mrperswall.com/wall-murals/dusty-patina-p150901-8. I just wish it had a few more color blends.

With the dusty patina - what do y'll think ? There will be a green palm that will come on the side and I plan to add a succulent arrangement on the coffee table.

Since some of you commented about how it lacked color, I tried experimenting with adding teal. Also got some new canvas art. So instead of wallpaper, was wondering if the pink art would work with the teal ?

Need lampshades as well as some flower arrangements, but taking it one step at a time. Please let me know if you have suggestions for enhancing this.

About colour - your rooms are beautiful and you have done a great job of presenting a cohesive and interesting space. Not everyone needs or wants colour. If you don't miss it or need it then don't put it in because someone tells you that it needs it.

We redid our house a few years ago and I fell into the "Neutral rooms and bring interest into the room through texture" trap and I hated both the living room and especially the kitchen. I have spent the last 5 years bringing colour back into the house because I do need colour, not a lot, but some and I recognize that.

I like the art work but the teal pillows are too eye-jarring. If you like the canvas art then try pillows in the soft pink (?) found in the art.
