It’s the color of that one that I like most about it, plus it’s open at the top.

I like this, but for crying out loud, it’s 34” across!!

Hey guys, I’m back!! It has been a couple of years, but in that time, I’ve replaced the light over my table and covered my window. I revisited this thread again after seeing someone on a FB group post the same slate granite that I originally posted in this thread, so I decided to come back and update. I hope you guys are all doing well! I’m currently waiting on new carpet for my front living room. At some point, I think I’ll come back here and post a separate thread for that. Anyway, the lighting isn’t great in these photos, but here is my new shade and my new kitchen light! Ignore the buffet behind my kitchen table. That’s only there because we had to move all the big stuff out of my living room!

For reference, this is a photo taken from my front living room into my kitchen. @Beth H, you posted above these lights. I did a reverse image search and can’t find them. I’m still looking for one over my sink and this color hits me. Thoughts on if just one could be bought, and where these are from?

Found it on Etsy, Beth! I freaking love this color and think it would be perfect…sadly, the colorblind DH and I don’t always agree. We’ll see what I can do!

I feel like this one would be more what DH would like. I just don’t know if it might be too big for over the sink.

Yes!! These are right in my wheelhouse! I like that one up top, the turquoise, but it’s from Etsy and she’s overseas. I saw a review of something being wrong that someone had to send back, and it cost her a fortune with customs, etc. I won’t be doing that. Thanks for these!

I looked up the pendant (in the photo), and it's rustic washed gold on the outside and black on the inside! I was sure this had copper on the inside. Glad I contacted the store and they were able to tell me. I'm going to look at some of those you sent, especially the copper/turquoise ones. I was thinking that my husband could get behind the one in the photo, that's why I went back to it first. The black on the inside is a no. I NEED light over that sink. It drives me CRAZY!

I definitely like that one! I have 51” in between cabinets for the pendant light. At this point, I think copper or some sort of turquoise would be cool. I’m working with tray over the island and then this new antique over the table now.

Hey hey! Because your cabinets already have a golden/orange tone i would choose a bit of a contrast . Instead of copper i would go with something darker lined in copper. This would pick up on the dark frame of the antique piece over your table while still giving you the glow of the copper accent. My pick, The Lumley by Currey & Co.

Okay, @Home Interiors with Ease, @Flo Mangan, @Beth H. :@pink_peony, @Nidnay, and anyone else who wants to join in. I'm at a crossroads. The pendant I had that guy make me on Etsy is stunning, but it's not big enough for the space. How do we feel about 2 or 3 pendant lights in between here? I have an approximately 40 inch side to side and approximately 30" deep space. My mind automatically goes to 3 because I like things in an odd number. But if I do that, I don't think 3-9.5 inch pendants are going to work, right? It will be too wide?

Wow, okay, I didn't expect that for an answer (no to a smaller version of 2-3 hanging pendants). I can see if he can make me a bigger one, yes. The one I had made was 9.75 wide and about 5.5 inches in height, from what I can tell. What are you guys thinking? The top of the one I have there is 12 inches across. I think what threw me off was the height of the one I had made. It needs to be 'deeper' to me, and some bigger.

Have you tried lowering the position of the new light? Might make a difference and remove existing one so you are seeing the proper look. If it meets your light needs over the sink, might be worth leaving for a week or so and see what you think. 🤔

@Flo Mangan, no, I haven't. And I do think it's hard when the other light takes up more space. I feel like this one just needed to be deeper. It's virtually the same width, it's just not the height/deepness of my one that's there. I think that's what is throwing me off. I contacted him, and he said he thinks he can make me a 12 wide and say 13.5 deep/high, or a 14 wide and 15.5 deep/high.

If you have him do larger one, make sure you have the depth at lower position and won’t hit your head on it. Upper cabinets are usually 12” deep so larger than 12” will probably be hitting window? Just do measure!

A couple mock ups. Smaller is roughly size you have. Larger one 2-3” wider.

@Flo Mangan, these are great mockups! Thank you for doing that. It definitely is hard to picture with the original light there, but also, he is going to take the one he made me as a return, so I can't get crazy and mess with it!
