I plan to have some type of grey stone put in the kitchen and prefinished hardwoods in the living room in an open concept floor plan. However I am hoping to make it all complementary. We will have rustic knotty hickory kitchen cabinets and a blue island. What type and finish of wood and finish would you recommend for flooring for the living room area. I am hope to tie it all together. We want a rustic feel for our house that is out in the woods and has vaulted wood ceiling in the living room (in a natural finish).
