That must be so gorgeous when in full bloom! How many do you have there? I only have 2, one on either side of a walkway near my Alaska’s. Yours look very healthy!

thanks, full bloom is spectacular. The entire plant is covered! I love my formosas for their bigger blooms but seeing the entire plant covered in tiny blooms is another thing. This is not the best picture but that is just one plant. I have about 3 mature and 1 young. I have it mixed in with some whites as well so it makes a neat spring display.

I can be crazy cheap sometimes (but I can also spend, so it isn’t consistent), and I tend to buy very small starter azaleas. They sometimes take so long to reach full size here (I usually keep them in the shade).

Mine are cute, small little bloom machines though! Love my little coral bells. :-)

I started using them in bouquets recently. Do you ever cut yours?

I am liking azaleas as cut flowers! I may need to try this with my rhodies too!

In the above bouquet (first from my yard this spring/late winter) it is mostly early azaleas (Hino Crimson, Coral Bells and Lavender Formosa), a couple Magnolias (Genie and Saucer), a couple roses (Peggy Martin and Jesse Hildreth), two beautiful pacific coast irises (I think Night Editor, but might be Deepening Shadow or another), freesias and fragrant tea olive. I kind of just plopped them into a vase outside to save them from the next rain we have coming (yay!), but I like them. :-)

Here we go.. full bloom! If I could only find more to buy I think I would. I have some white scattered in there too, they just started to bloom so it’s nice that the area rotates a little between the two colors.
