Hello!

I have a small (long and narrow) city yard that is currently a muddy mess because of rocky soil and patchy grass/weeds. I intend to have pavers installed (walkway and seating area) and am wondering if someone can help me figure out a plan of action. Do you lay the pavers first and then add soil in between for planting groundcover around the edges? Will doing this kind of layout prevent me from being able to shovel snow? We are in Zone 6. The mason doing the hardscaping is unsure how to proceed to allow me to create the look I am going for. Any information would be helpful. Thank you!
