No. I tried them last year and mine just did not come up. I don't know if I got bum plants or if it was operator error. I hope you have better luck than I did. I love this plant.

Irma, I can't answer your question about Lowe's bleeding hearts but I'm curious if they'll do well in Florida. I love them and had tons of them in Ohio. Even there, they needed to be in pretty deep shade and very rich, moist (not wet) soil to thrive in the spring. Once summer came, they would disappear and wait for spring to come again to reappear. I'll be interested in how yours do.

I have grown bleeding heart vine successfully in Florida (when I was in Williston). You probably know that it's not a dicentra but a clerodendrum. Even this plant likes to grow in the dappled shade of trees.

I have some that came as purchased plants, and while they are not lush, they do persist, do bloom, and also start new ones nearby. Never tried to plant from seed (corm). If I could find my receipt, I would dig it up and return it!

I'm with Rhonda on the clerodendrum bleeding heart. I've been nurturing a tiny cutting of that for months now, and it's growing slowly. They die back in the winter, and might die completely in a hard freeze. Make sure you get the ones that is red and white, though. There is one that has pink outside sepals and the flowers aren't as showy. I had one at my house in North Port that grew like a weed, and was so gorgeous in the summer. It died in a hard freeze where it got down to under 25 for 5 days straight. I think that was the 2008 freeze, but not sure. It killed a lot of otherwise pretty hardy stuff.
