The tile appears to be in good shape, although the caulking around the tub needs to be redone by someone with experience. Your bathroom has nice color selections, very up-to-date. I vote to leave it as is.

I'd leave it alone, unless it is NOT the only bath in the house with a tub, and in that case replace the tub with a shower and gut it.

Change the rug.......too busy with valance and shower curtain : )

If bound and determined.......... trade the curtain for glass doors, the blind and valance for a crisp plantation shutter.......and keep the rug.

I agree with the other comments. Replace the valance and the mini blind with either a nice woven blind or an operable Roman shade.

Get glass for tub instead of shower curtain.

Add a new rug, update towels and add art where the towel bar is.

REMOVE THE TUB!!!. you will get some square footage right away. no more curtains!!...glass shower door and panel. i have great links for custom made shower panels that wont cost an arm or a leg either.

Tub must stay, it is the only one in the house :) thank for all ideas. mini blinds, valence, shower curtain and rug are all going away.

Don't forget the caulking. And if someone shows up with a "squeeze tube" instead of a caulking gun - show them the door.
