its official... spring has sprung....

I have two which are still full of buds. None have opened yet.

Its gotten cooler the past few weeks and I wonder if that is holding them up. They've been sitting with these buds for weeks.

You are a bit warmer than I am, maybe that's the difference.

I love these plants. My husband thinks they belong in the compost heap!

added via edit. In the good old days there were six varieties of Den. superbum. so that might explain the difference in flower appearance.

Now there are none. The RHS changed the name to Den. anosmum with nil varieties.

Mine are all budded. Should bloom this week. Arthur, for most of the year they are ugly! No leaves, just canes. He passes them, stops then shakes his head! When they bloom, he forgets they are the ugly orchids.
