Oh dear, EVERYTHING is orange! I would go with an off white or a very light beige. I love all of those windows!

Wow, that is a LOT of terracotta. I think grey could work, maybe one of the lighter tones that you see in your countertop. Get some samples in the cream, beige and greige/taupe families as well and see what works. Paint a large area white (or get a large sheet of white paper) to cover up the orange so you're looking at the new colors against a white backdrop. It's really hard to envision anything else with all of that orange!

BM Grant Beige will work with most of your other materials/colors. I don't think a straight gray will work, but a greige will.

I'd replace those countertops with something you actually like, rather than attempting to decorate around them. They are very limiting.

I see a lot of black, gray, and white stone in the countertops so definitely think you could find a gray that would work well in your space. I'd probably go with an off white that leans gray, but that's just me. Either way, you'll want to make sure the color and saturation works nicely with the floors.

The previous owners must have loved terra cotta/rusty orange and couldn't get enough of it. Unless you really hate the counters, I don't think you need to remove the counters just to get away from the the overload of terra cotta; painting the walls should do the trick with a lot less hassle (and waste).

I think grey would read too blue and cool but greige would work well. Try BM Revere Pewter or SW Amazing Gray.

Light gray would be very pretty and lighten everything up. Your kitchen is great and I won't change your countertops.

I agree with looking at some warm greige shades that work with your counters...if you intend to keep them.

Hope you don't mind, but I can see stainless steel appliances working nicely with the cabinet hardware and gray in the countertops.

I actually love the countertops, but I love orange/terra-cotta/and rust. Not as much as you’re dealing with though. Change the walls and just accessorize the kitchen with some terra-cotta.

I think they grey won't work with all the red/orange/brown you've got in your fixed elements. They'll just fight with each other and make each other look worse. I think you might be interested in this blog post by Carla Aston in which she brightens up a gold/Tuscan home by using cream/offwhite so as not to make all the gold/brown tones fight with the brighter color.
