We are building a modern mountain home and the architect specified a beetle kill pine ceiling. Our builder is strongly advising against it because of fading and turning an orange/yellow over the course of several years. I like the look of the beetle kill pine (color variation and character) and am now searching for alternatives. I would prefer not to have it be completely uniform but have some depth and character. Any suggestions and advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
