And then there are those of us who vehementally eschew anything that even smacks of "trendy". The closest I ever came was when I painted my kitchen in a soft taupe and dusty rose because it matched my antique transferware dishes...not really knowing it was trendy at the time.

A friend of mine in Connecticut has asked me to take a pile of antique Caucasian rugs that he's been collecting for years to sell at Brimfield this May. When I read in the article about "rugs laid on top of rugs," which is what he did with his collection, I emailed to ask, what with both the rugs and his mode of display coming into "Style with a capital S" (antique Caucasian rugs are already in style) did he still want me to take them, his quickly emailed reply was, "Oh yeah... yes, absolutely!"

I’m not happy this is becoming the trend. The last thing I want is more competition for vintage and antique items! There’s a finite number...

Oh I am loving right now that no one wants china, silver, crystal, nice furniture, oil paintings, etc. You can really get nice things reasonably.

FWIW, I understand not too many millenials can even afford to 'decorate', let alone purchase homes these days.
