Brush Touchups on Sprayed Cabinets?

We recently had a carpenter add a ton of custom cabinetry and paneling to our house. Our painter primed the woodwork, added putty and sanded and then sprayed two coats of enamel. There are several medium-to-large-sized areas that look pretty bad in the paneling and it does not appear as though he sanded the newly built cabinet doors before spraying, resulting in some of the doors looking "fuzzy". Our painter told me that he will do all touchups with a brush. My husband and I think this will not look good since the majority of the woodwork has a smooth, sprayed finish, that the brushstrokes on the touchups will stick out like a sore thumb. Anybody ever experienced this? Should we require our painter to do a third coat of spray?
