Ohhh snap!!!

I buy all my gloves at Dollar General at the end of summer when they mark them all down by 70 to 90 percent. I still have a half dozen that have never been used that I got for a dime each. Seeds too. Those 4/$1 seeds do very well and are good for a small garden. Last year, I grabbed some 90% off seeds at DG for 5 and 3 cents per pack.

I buy these at Lowes. 6m. There are pricey but one box of 100 lasts me for 2-3 years. I love them for gardening because, being thin, I can "feel" what I'm doing.

I love the little ceramic pots at Dollar Tree. When I used to grow a lot of small succulents and African violets, I had tons of them. I'm just starting my succulent collection back up, so I pulled a few out the other day to hold some of them. One day, I'll grow African violets again, too, but right now, I'm too swamped to take care of them properly.

I saw only plastic pots at this Dollar Tree. Maybe your ceramic ones are becoming "collectibles".

Oh no! I haven't looked for any lately, so maybe they don't carry them anymore. Sad.

I like the wire bread baskets. I use them to grow my orchids. They love them and I get about 3 years out of them before they rust away.I buy their plastic bowls to rinse my bark and moss. Keep them out of the sun and they last for years.

What a great idea, Jane, and what a gorgeous orchid! I will have to remember that for my bromeliads. Wire hanging baskets are getting way too expensive. I've started trying to find them on 90% off sale at summer's end at Dollar General, and have been somewhat successful, but they don't last too long. I try to get the liners on clearance too and stockpile them.

These baskets are so cheap and do last. I also use them with Phals. I can get bark into them without it falling through. The openings are small.

I was disappointed in the plastic pots from the dollar tree...didn't even last a year outdoors before the sun made them too brittle to touch without breaking.

And sadly most of the gardening gloves are just too big...i need a small size glove cause i got short fingers.

As for orchid pots...colanders from the thrift work well.
