Quick curtain sewing question

I'm starting my curtain project this afternoon and I just have a question about sewing the vertical seam on either side. My curtains will be lined with blackout lining. When I look at tutorials online I see two methods for sewing the sides and I'm not sure which is correct.

A.) press the edge of curtain fabric on either side under, and again. Tuck the lining underneath the folded edge and sew. This will create a visible seam running down both edges.

B.) place the curtain fabric right side up with the lining right side down. Curtain fabric is wider than lining. Right sides are sewn together and then turned rightside out, leaving the vertical side seam enclosed, the vertical edge is pressed with equal amounts of curtain fabric folded on either side. No visible seam.

Which method is correct?
