I have a custom door that is too high and I need to remove the lintel and take out two rows of brick to have it fit. There are only 3 rows of brick currently and lintel under them. There is a second store above. My questions are. Can I remove lintel and two rows and brick leaving 1 row of verticle brick and not replacing the lentil? Is there a load on top of the bricks and if not will it be an issue to allow new door to carry small load of one layer of verticle brick? Thanks for any
