Sowing Beans Indoors - Bird Mitigation

Last year I had no bean crop. Birds just came pickering and pecking at the seeds. Whatever did manage to sprout, they went to town on those as well.

Prior years, I've sprouted in ground with no issues. No netting, nothing.

Considering just sprouting indoors this year, just so there is no seeds to eat. Then transplant out and pray for the best.

Curious. Do ya'll lay down some netting or do any steps to mitigate success
