It's a Weevil, of which there are thousands of species. They're a type of Beetle and have a variety of diets but many will eat living plants. How it got there is anybody's guess. The young often live in the soil so could have come in with a potted plant. Or maybe the adult somehow came into the house and happened to find the orchid. Getting rid of it is easy, just evict it from your house. Keep checking your plants. If it came in soil in a pot there could be more of its siblings around.
