Flooring, HVAC and stucco questions

Hello,

We purchased and are about to remodel a 2001 Cavco manufactured home. We have always had stick built homes, so we are naive but want to better understand our home

We were told to that in order to put on a room addition, we would have to upgrade our HVAC and ducts. That sounds valid. Now we are told that no one makes a unit with a SEER rating higher than 16 for our needs (manufactured home.)

Stucco- we were told that using foam, chicken wire and a vapor barrier would be to heavy for our walls We are new to stucco, but that doesn’t make sense to me

Flooring- any limitations here? Our contractor plans to lay down a product that will stiffen up the floor like Hardi backer.

Thanks in advance for the education
