Plant the seeds in a clear plastic drinking cup?

I personally do a lot of my propagating in various size cell trays that fit as inserts into a standard flat. I pot up after I see roots starting to poke out of the bottoms of the cells.

The clear cup idea is great! I used clear cups but never thought about planting some close the side. I'll keep that in mind next time.

Interesting about using cells. I'm planning on getting some Tsuga c. seeds next year. I'll see if I run across some flats by then.

My cuttings were stuck about 10 weeks ago, looks like another 10 weeks to go. :-)

They let me tour one of greenhouses at a retail nursery a couple of weeks ago. They must've had an acre of flats, all had something green just sprouting. I couldn't tell what they were, I think various flowers.
