why does the product specifications say 40.5 x 10.5 x 6 but in the headline it says 36' wind guard? is the product actually 40.5 inches in length or 36'?

The wind guard is manufactured by American Fire Glass and designed to be used with their 36" fire pit tray, hence its designation. However , to fit the 36" tray it needs to straddle over the fire pit tray, which is 36", plus the flange on each side at 1 1/4, and leave some space for a fire pit lid to sit inside as well. So when assemble it will measure about 40.5" x 10.5"
