Hi Pete, your greenhouse is looking great....it will make a big difference this winter in keeping your plants warm and dry. The flowers are really nice and that yellowy bud looks like a winner. It has the look of a double or triple, and it has more buds on the other branch too. :) You can always give it a quick dose of that flowering fertiliser you bought to help it along. Please post a photo when it finally blooms.

Was that flower you gave to your mum also grown from seed from Rinoa? Looks like you might get some good ones from her seed.

Ps, Our plants are going into flower again too now, but our days are still really warm, so this is normal for us. No signs of Autumn in Brisbane yet.

Rachel i didn't think of that fertilizer i will give it a drink today the flower i gave to mum was grown from seed the seeds were from Australian supplier either wa adenium or ebayer who claimed they were Aussie, i have just done something really dumb and ordered another 60 seeds of Rinoa :×) i will post pics when it decides to open i also have about 10 one year old plants budding.

It is a beautiful bloom. You got nice plants there. The green house looks overloaded. As long as you can see each one and keep an eye on the bugs.

I like the floor you have in there. The whole greenhouse looks so much bigger on the inside. Mine is empty at the moment. Only 3 trays of last germinated seeds in there. I put all my plants outside alongside of house. They getting late afternoon sun. I got rid of pests, but as a result of overspraying, my plants went bold and stopped flowering. Now, finaly, they are pests free and new healthy growth started to show. I have to rearange inside the greenhouse before winter and put them back in there. By the way, I found out what Rare Imports are using for their DRs and succulents to make them happy, they use seasol liquid seaweed. I start puting it on my seedlings and they show fast new growth and shiny new leaves.

Nice one Pete. Worth the wait, definitely a keeper. Do you have anymore seedlings of Jade Pendant, that are yet to flower? Hopefully you’ll also get something nice from your other 1yr old seedlings that are in bud now. Feed them that fertiliser you have. Trust me, it helps the buds grow quicker and the colour to develop.

And...you ordered another 60 seeds from Rinoa! Man, you’re gonna need another greenhouse. Lol

Rachel i fed them yesterday with the fertilizer i do have about 10 more jade princess plants but tney are nowhere near flowering. Maria i will take a cutting when mum isn't looking. Agartta i already use seasol on my small plants and this on the big ones

yes Rodger its a keeper i just hope it stays stable.

Peter - are you getting any more blooms? Mine stopped blooming, got few slow growing buds. Weather's changed in western aussie, we getting alot of rain.

This is what my jade pendant faded to after about 8 hrs

the flower last about one week. Can anybody give me advise on whats happening to my DR it seems to only be affecting the plants on the top shelf of the greenhouse im thinking it is a type of mildew , on hot days i can feel that the humidity is very high up on the highest shelves
the cautex goes red colour then starts to collapse any help would be good as this is my first lot in the greenhouse. :×)

Peter - I never put plants on the top shelf. Its hot, humid, not much ventilation, plants prone to mildew and rot. I dont have top shelf anymore. Make sure your windows are open.

Hi Pete, I think you’re right, it’s probably too hot for the seedlings on the top shelf. Looks like they dried out too much with the crispy leaves. Just leave the top shelf area empty and as Agartta said leave the window open during the days.
