Where are you? Makes a difference on what is suggested or even recommended. And a question of tree selection is better addressed on the Trees forum as it has little to do with landscape design. That is a much bigger picture issue :-))

I’m a sucker for Natchez white crape myrtles. Lovely natural form that takes little maintenance to train into an upright arching form. Can’t tell how wide your frontage is but I would either use four along the front or two. Gives you some privacy from the street without completely closing you in. Winter interest from the peeling bark.

Definitely look at Japanese maples. We're in Southern CA and ours do nicely under filtered light from large oak trees. Most do best here when protected from full sun.

Magnolia grandiflora is one of the worst for nuisance litter (drops spent parts for months at a time), frequently seen varieties of purple-leaf plums (except 'Newport') often fruit at least some years.

If climate and soil are right Japanese maple probably the best bet. Hundreds of garden forms of this species are grown, come in a variety of growth habits and foliage colors. Of course, as with all deciduous trees there is a big leaf dump every year in fall - there are no kinds of live trees that do not produce litter.
