The shot is a bit distant but tulips come in a large variety of heights, flower shapes and leaf forms. Without seeing a close up I'd say they are just behaving normally for whatever cultivar they are.

We don't judge anyone on weeding. Your bulbs are putting on quite a show! They are so pretty. Most of my tulips don't get as high as they claim on the package. One year I planted white tulips and I took a picture or I wouldn't believe it--not one came back. They were sold as annuals! I'm better at reading packages now, though.

Can you do us a favor? Can you set up your messaging? Then people can email you directly (and nobody puts their address or information out here on the web). You could also make a wish list, especially if you're new to this site or new to gardening. It can be very specific or general. Example: cottage flowers, kid-friendly flowers, pollinator-loving flowers, tomatoes, cukes and peppers. If you look at our usernames we have a code behind them Example: floral_uk z.8/9 SW UK. We list our USDA hardiness zone and/or our general location. You can edit your name if you want. Why? Because then when I read about what you want I'll be sure and try to send seeds that will do well in your area. Hope I don't sound too bossy.

My tulips are coming up, but no blooms yet. Of course in the last week we've had snow twice and 50 mph winds once. I think my flowers may be protesting!
