Gorgeous kitchen! I realize this post is quite old, but would greatly appreciate your thoughts if you can recall... What is the spacing, or what would you recommend between the island (seating side) and the back wall of cabinetry? We are planning a kitchen with two islands, the first like this one with prep space and seating, and the second simply a base wall of cabinets to break-up the space. I'd like to allow more space on the work side of the island, but want to be sure there's enough for people to sit comfortably at the island and pass through behind them or access the lower cabinets.
