looking for mid century settee

hi! I want these mid century seats and I want a small sofa or settee to use with my kitchen table but I can seem to find anything like it or anything in black. does this exist? I have an open door plan with a brown leather sofa. any ideas?!

Ashley what are the white plastic storage for? Honestly they need to be moved..girl not plastic storage in your beautiful home...if it is needed let’s work on wall baskets or a storage rack with baskets.....

ok the dog art...if they are not your dogs.....No go for me...I thought they were your dogs....

you are all over the place let’s try to focus on dining chairs and getting drapes up...next media cabinet than art....what lamps did you order?

I know those plastic storage containers. They’re wall mount shoe racks from Ikea but can be used to store other small items (dog leashes/toys) They’re non descript and are shallow and take up very little room. Hardly noticeable in real life. I personally don’t see them as a problem.

Best used in a laundry area or mud room..

Your kitchen is so beautiful we can find a better way to add storage.

Can you post a picture of all of your artwork in your house? I really liked the 3 piece arrangement with the black and white abstract art. The dog piece seems very large above the sofa but it might work better once the curtains are raised (so don't rule it out just yet).

well I do have an airdale and I show my AKC airdale and it's from my airdale club, a gift from my mentor. and I am a part of her kennel so it's a pretty important piece. let me think on it. I will focus on the customs and lamp and looking at what I have. it's the gold lamp. the same, the store only had one so we ordered another. the chairs you selected are awesome. :) ty!!

Totally understand..just want to be sure you have a cohesive look...want to help pull everything together. Here if you need me:)

I agree - so we decided on the Chloe beige chairs from your suggestions. awesome! ty so much!! we were having major problems with chairs!!! they are exactly what I want!! I'm going to order one to see how I like it, then the rest. I will photograph all the art. i would say I also like the b&w idea. we can try some arrangements.

Oh that’s wonderful! Keep me posted would love to see how they look in your dining area...did you look at the idea book full of media cabinets?

living area update! styled and clean haha without dogs. still need ceiling fan and media console :) taking my time as advised.
yes I liked the book alot, the black one with silver handles I think we will get but it's expensive so I need to wait a bit and save :)

the art is now six inches above the couch. I hope that's low enough and looking good.

so I got basic tv stand on Craigslist. I would like to stencil it. can I get away with something like this? sort of global? when I get it put together I will show a photo of it as is. it's just basic black brown.

Oh would not be my suggestion;/ you want the tv cabinet to complement the room but the fireplace should be the focal pointe..that to me would be very distracting.

    got it :)

Post image of what you bought for TV from Craigslist...can help make it work.

here it is. I sawed off legs to make it flat. I want to do something interesting with it, maybe gold leaf top or something. I got it because I like refinishing furniture and I wanted a project. if it doesn't turn out I can just order one. I think it's an aquarium stand but it has cut outs for electronics. I just want a few cool details without having to try and alter a new $400 purchase because I'm just not that good at DIY or that confident. :)

It’s new? $400....it doesn't look wide enough for your huge TV?

no no. it was $80. the photo looks weird. I need to put it together and then I will send photos of it with the tv so you can suggest details to add. it is 72" long. it's like really big. I didn't see one I really liked online, all very cookie cutter and I didn't want to try and customize one I sort of liked that was $400. I also didn't want to have to paint a new piece and I think that maybe more brown is not a good idea. I'm pretty handy and love refinishing furniture so if I try something and can't fix it, I didn't spend a lot of money on it.

I would just leave it brown..do nothing to it...simple and just blends into the room....it’s ok to add brown it is a neutral and works just fine in your space.

here is the chair. do you like the pillow? recommend a smaller one or 20" is ok? they need one for added comfort I think. I will order the rest soon because I like them. hanging drapes this weekend. :)

If you really need a pillow get small lumbar...what color did you order? Looks gray..I would order the neutral color..unless it is the lighting...

    it's tan

With the lighting I don’t think I am getting the right color on my screen...does the tan work well in the space?

Etsy.com offers so many lumbars...many colors also be sure you get the correct length..

yes that's a good place to look. everything is so hard :( how do you do a whole house? I'm getting in the mood where everything looks weird!! haha.

Very time consuming and you have to stay focused..doing one area at a time really helps..because the decisions you make help guide you to the next room.

these are the pillows I ordered. I have a bird on my hutch and on my mantle so I thought it would be a nice accent. I think it will be cool to have a small bird in each room of the house. it's 11x17 which is just slightly shorter than the wisdth of the chair. finishing curtains today, tv stand tomorrow. then I'll photograph it!!

Hi Ashley was thinking about you and was getting worried!

looks great..what a nice update to your spaces! Enjoy

Posting cause I saw 'after' -- you went for the gusto with red and green/dog photo. Black is spread around the room and no dark curtains.... btw, the photo of doggie departing the house made me look twice [what was that?]…. ;-)

it's a doggie door. it can be amazing and also very annoying. Maggie the Airedale is always half out the doggie door so her butt is in a lot of my photos. we call it "butt bombing" haha

Julie! I could not have done this with out your amazing skills and tracking down perfect dining chairs. My husband and I thought we would never agree on a set :) :) I have learned so so much!

Now on to the bedroom, and then the entry way and dog grooming/yoga studio!
