I have used Karndean loose lay planks and didn't have any problems with it. Very realistic. You have to touch it really to see that it's vinyl. I would say it takes water/moisture/liquid to clean it, it doesn't "dust" well.

What are your counter tops?

CoreTec vinyl planks. Mountain Oak is the color (I think)

Get a colour match the the counter tops (because if you have matched the counters to the cabinets...you have already done all the hard work getting things to compliment one another). The tones found in the counter (on my monitor it is reading a snick pink) can be reflected in the flooring.

If you are unsure, go ahead and take a cabinet door with you when you view/sign-off on your slab. That's the best way to get an understanding of how a stone will read.

And please be aware that you have chosen a quartz that has some HEAVY movement. That normally means you will want to go 'simple' with the backsplash. The splash you are contemplating is going to be busy. And it may not have the same colours in it as the stone. I would wait until the stone is in place and the floors are done before picking a b/s.

Personally I think these types of busy glass splashes always look like "kitchen camouflage"....like your kitchen was part of Desert Storm. It isn't my favourite look.

I would love to see a pretty cream Arabesque tile with that counter. The swirl movement in the stone would mimic nicely with Arabesque style. The swish of the Arabesque tile would suit the swish of the gray movement MUCH BETTER than the linearity of the Kitchen Camouflage in the picture above.

Wow! I really like the Arabesque tile for a back splash! I just need to move forward with my floor... I have to make a decision on which of the 2 I like. What do you think of a glass Arabesque tile or do you think a porcelain would be better???

It depends on the colour of the tile; the lighting in the space and how the counter top "reads" once it is installed.
