I've had mine over 12 years with no problems like this, unless I do a pair of jeans and a big towel and nothing else.

I'm sorry -- maybe you just got a lemon. I have an LG stacked washer that's about 10 years old, and hasn't had a problem.

not sure how many different models of LG washers there are but ours is model # WT1101CW a top loader with no central agitator. Like yours? It worked fine at first ....after I had figured out how to use all the many different functions! A nice 'set it & forget it' until these recent problems yet I use it the same as before! The tub is quite deep so glad I am a tall person or I couldn't reach the clothes way in the bottom very well!

Glad to hear others good luck with this washer so hopefully a $$ service call will solve our problems with it!

Check the bottom of the drum around the impeller to make sure nothing like a coin is caught there.

Our LG top load model WT1101CW appears not to have any places down in the deep drum where a coin could be caught ... I am tall but have a difficult time reaching way down there to chec... !

Oh, my gosh!! So happy to hear (though sorry you also had to have this!) someone else knows what I am complaining about!! YES!!! wasting a lot of water if I did not catch this problem in the beginning... 'water fill/water drain'... etc. over & over again!

Were kept telling it is the way we load the washer: 'too light a load', 'too heavy a load', 'clothes not distributed properly', etc.,etc.

At first I missed the old fashioned washer I was used to but after a (long) while I did get used to the new one & actually could set it & forget it while I did other things .... that is, UNTIL this 'QU' problem that kept coming up on the washer.

We shall try what you had done that helped & hopefully..... ! :)

LG is no good. Electrolux makes the best Washers and Dryers. Look in to them next time around! Good Luck

What a weird thing to say......why would you say that when so many people here have had good experiences?

After reading people's posts here, I wonder if they do good with front loaders, but not top loaders?

I will always have a top loader as easier for me to load. This LG is the first I've had however with out an agitator in the middle.

Emelems, the suspension rods are what levels the tub..

Most washers aren't crucial on being absolutely bubble-level. More important is that the weight is evenly supported at all four corners to minimize spin vibrations.

However, some of the newest uber-capacity machines, particularly toploaders, don't have much space within the cabinet for the very large tub to oscillate without causing an impact, and those machines have bump sensors and operating software that reacts accordingly for dealing with off-balance spins. These are more crucial in being on-target for proper leveling so the tub isn't skewed from hanging centered within the cabinet.

Husband ordered those suspension rods from the LG company ; though the most $$ for the rods, he thought it best to order the brand that came on the washer. Now to get the washer out of the very small area where the dryer is also!!

Caroline: Bought the 4 rods (? $80) & Hubby & son installed them with little problem other than taking off the washer top. And YES!!! I have run several loads now & everything works fine so far! Again, thanks SO much Caroline for your posting as having the same problem as we have had & what you did to fix it! It worked!

I have a LG front load washing machine which is about six years old. Today the door won’t unlock during or after the cycle. Any suggestions or me?

Should be a way to manually unlock the door. Check your instruction manual. You didn't cite the model so I can't look it up. Some have a cable at the pump trap door in the lower panel. Some require that the panel on top of the machine be removed and a tab pulled on the door lock mechanism.

Cause could be a bad door lock, bad control board, or something else related.

UE means the washer was unable to balance the load well enough to complete high-speed spin. Occasional UE with one heavy item can be normal, but if it now happens repeatedly with ordinary loads that previously worked, I would also check that the washer is level and stable and consider the suspension/drum condition rather than only rearranging the clothes each time.
