Some say it takes away from the overall growth of the plant, some say it doesn't do any harm. The issue is that the white leaves do not benefit the plant since they cannot produce food or energy from light. I adore solid white leaves so I tend to leave them, even if it makes my plant a bit smaller in size (Which hasn't been proven.)

I had only white leaves growing on mine, it was a slow grower. I chopped most of them off (not all because they are pretty) and the plant went nuts with new growth, it's triple the size now.

Hmmm, now you have me thinking! They look so pretty, not sure if I can bring myself to cut them off. There is some other new growth coming. I may see what color they turn out to be. Thanks for the info!
