Hello!

I'm sorry the pics are so dark.
I have these tall windows that are south facing and the heat/sun is intense. The previous owners had sheers over the bottom 3 windows, but I wasn't a fan, and the top 3 windows bake the room. I must have looked at a million pics trying to find something similar for ideas.
We have considered having electric blinds that go up on the top 3 windows. We have also talked about building a wood valance across the top of the 3 windows and doing long outside mounted electric silhouette blinds or something similar.
Window tinting is an option but I love the light and view of the bright blue sky. Also, some warmth from the sun during the winter helps keep my electric bill down.
Curtains are out. The windows end too close to the fireplace, and my daughter has intense allergies...and I know I'll rarely clean them.
I'm planning to paint the tall wall a darker grey blue.
