It doesn't look like you've had any takers here. I tried to like loom knit, but decided it wasn't for me. I didn't like the way the stitches looked. I'll stick with the needles.

Oh, I am on several boards that are loom knitters. It must have been the way you were loom knitting, as there are ways to avoid it. I loom knit, crochet, embroiderer, cross stitch, and have been sewing since I was about 14 years old. My mother was a home ec. teacher so I have many skills. I have never had a desire to knit with needles as was not one of my mothers desires so I never wanted to learn either until my niece showed me loom knitting. :)

I just don't care for the look of loom knitting, even items I've seen made by others. I can knit much faster with needles. I also crochet, embroider, cross stitch and sew. My mother also passed on her love of crafting. She made most of my clothing when I was a child. I was an ungrateful child and complained that all my friends had store-bought clothing and why did she have to make mine? Then, at age 12, I told her she had done something incorrectly on an item she'd made for me. She told me that from then on, I could make my own clothing. And I did just that. To each their own, right?

Donna, here are some hats for cancer patients that I loom knitted. I think and also the recipients think they are pretty special and are knitted perfectly, although every knitter knows their work is not perfect no matter how they knit whether it is Loom knitted or needle knitted.

You can decrease the stitches when your work is on the loom if you know how. Obviously, this needle knitter does not know much about knitting with a loom. Where I live, a loom knitter won First Place at the county fair above all loomers, and needle knitters. Thistledew, your hats are perfect in every way! Beautiful job!
