I came across your thread because we are doing the same floors. I have cherry cabinets and are going to be refinishing them. Do you know what color yours are?

We’ve been really happy with our flooring. Have had it for over a year now and it looks as good as the day it was installed. Very easy to care for.

What colors are in the Manila Oak. It looks like a lot of variance or is it just the picures? Have you had any trouble with the paint on the bevel coming off? Are the bevels easy to keep clean? The pictures are beautiful by the way. Thank you!

Decided to go with Manila Oak after a LOT of contemplating & install started today! 🤗 It’s crazy how it looks a lot darker or lighter depending on the lighting but I love it!

Thanks for the pics, it’s beautiful! Would you say it’s more brown or orange? We ordered it and it hasn’t come in yet but it’s crazy how different it looks in everyone’s photos!

Please let me know if it looks more like orange Or too golden.

There are orange/gold, brown and grey hues in it. We do have golden oak woodwork and it complements it nicely. The lighting in the room definitely can change the cast especially going from natural to artificial light. Overall, we have gotten many compliments on it and found it very easy to live with in a large space.

Here are some initial photos of Manila Oak after install. It’s a beautiful color! I see gold, brown, and grays in it. I love how it looks when the sunlight hits it!

I would say more, Golden, gray, light brown/tan vs. orange. I think my old phone camera doesn’t take the best pictures😬 In person you do notice the color variation but in my opinion it’s not as drastic as it appears in the photos. I get compliments on this floor all the time & people really think it looks & feels like real wood vs. many of the other LV options. So far it’s holding up well & easy to clean & I don’t have an issue with noticeable footprints like some of the product reviews stated. Very happy with this flooring!

...Christina Boyd’s photos are a more accurate depiction of what it actually looks like it brighter light. In darker/dimmer lighting I do notice more of the browns/darker color standing out but not as orange as my pictures look on here.

Is everyone on this thread still happy with the Coretec floors? I am considering the Manilla Oak color as well and found both good and bad reviews on the quality of the flooring.

Can any tell me how many repeats Manila Oak has? Our flooring store claims 4, but we bought a box and it had 5 in it. Wondering if there are more than 5

We just ordered Manila oak for the entire first floor minus family room. Was torn between Manila oak and blended praline and finally bit the bullet. Anxious to have them installed. All these floors look beautiful but it’s crazy how the flooring looks so different in different rooms and different lighting. Even the various samples the company sent were all so different.

Another question - how do you determine the proper orientation when they lay the floor? Is there a proper way or does it just depend upon aesthetics? Thanks.

Good question, should they run the same way as adjoining rooms, even though the other room has real hardwood that is a different color? Also, has anyone used the online visualizer tools to view this floor, it looks darker and dull in tool, but sample looks more polished and warm orange tones, which I like with my natural cheery cabinets...worried it might be too much wood, here is my visualizer photo and the actually sample. Any thoughts?

Im wondering if dirt collects in the cracks. im replacing hardwood woth wide cracks between boards and this has been a problem. i dont want a similar issue with this vinyl. thiughts thoughts? and can you clean with an irobot type vacuum? specifically interested in the Manila Oak which has cracks like wood planks. thanks

We’ve only had for a few days. If you stay on top of it I don’t think it will be a problem. We bought heavy duty swiffer and the box says it gets between the cracks. Not sure about that vacuum. I would call the company and ask. We plan to buy something like an OCedar microfiber mop and clean with water. And use the Coretec cleaner for spot cleaning.

I installed these floors 3 years ago now and am super happy with them. I had medium/darker oak cabinets (look similar to yours, kind of a reddish hue) that I did not want to change so I searched for a lighter wood floor that would contrast enough with my existing cabinets. I was able to get a sample from our local carpet store and they didn't clash like so many other colors, also I did NOT want grey. These are beautiful still after lots of kids and traffic through the house. Nice and light, not dark at all. Everyone thinks they are wood.

I expected the cracks to bother me but they don't seem to matter much. I don't get down and inspect in the cracks, I just sweep as usual. I have also used the robot vacuum and it works just fine too.

I'm actually looking online today to see if I can find more so I can extend it down my hallway and into my office to get rid of that section of carpet.

Anna-I think it looks so pretty. Thanks for sharing! We are definitely getting this floor. The sample box came in and we love it. We are looking for a countertop now! Would like to get counter in 1st then floor. I feel so happy we finally decided on floor, it took forever! Hope the countertop selection doesn't take as long, but I know it will as I have been looking for a while now!

Oh, how fun! You look like you are in a similar boat as I was. I had black granite tile counters, and black backsplash, way too dark! I like the counter in front how it has some brown veining, it would tie into the floors nicely. Definitely a lighter color. I have all black faucets and I got black sinks too. I very much regret getting black sinks, and the countertop lady even warned me. We have so much calcium in our water and the sinks stain terribly. I'd opt for another white porcelain or stainless sink if I could do over. But I still love the floors and my white granite counters and white backsplash. I also added under cabinet lights to our uppers, game changer! I did our floors a few months after the countertop, simply because it was covid. I got the counter in only days before everything shut down.

Anna-we have a lot of iron in our water, which turns everything orange! We currently have a white porcelain sink, but it stained orange and has a lot of pan marks on it. I was thinking about getting a gray color sink ...not stainless steel as I get chills when the silverware rubs up against it! Kinda like nails on chalkboard effect!

The stone in the front in a natural quartzite called cristallo.it Cristallo. It's beautiful and perfect, but I am worried it's too shiny. It's kinda like glass. The other piece is MSI quartz. It a new color called Miraggio Cove. I loved the sample, but when I looked at slab it was not what I expected based on sample seen in photo. So now I am stuck trying to find something light with the rust veining. I know I sound picking but its a big investment and I will be living with it forever!! The cristallo is absolutely perfect colors, but not sure I like the shiny aspect of it. Kinda seems too fancy because of the shine. I posted pictures of each below.

I wanted to say thank you to everyone who posted photos on this thread- im building a new house and it was such an agonizing decision to try and match cabinets with flooring. I can honestly say I could not be happier with how this looks! These floors are stunning! I wanted to contribute some photos to this thread in hopes it helps the next person.

*my photos are just with natural daylight and no electric lighting yet. My first photo is probably the most accurate to color, but in sunlight or like a closet, it can look deeper and richer honey tones. It looks like hardwoods!

Hopefully we can replace a board that got dinged moving something heavy in the kitchen at the same time. I still love my floors...I just wish they had an auto-cleaning mechanism! @Dawn, what did you end up picking for a countertop? Do you have finished photos of yours?
