So beautiful! I swear, we are twins of different mothers the way we always rescue plants. BTW, one of my native wild petunias bloomed WHITE! Sadly, I didn't get a picture of it. Hopefully, it will do it again.

It's so satisfying to rescue plants that would otherwise be tossed away, isn't it?

The wild primroses and native phlox I rescued last year are blooming away and the little yellow (coreopsis?) are about too.

And today two of the little pink native primroses bloomed. All rescues!

The apartment complex next to me dug up their entire landscape and tossed everything into a huge dumpster. They had huge clumps of agapanthus that were in the bottom of the dumpster by the time I got there. I wanted those so bad! I only managed to get a few bulbines, but some lived, and they multiply so fast, I'll have a big pot before you know it. I'm still sad about the agapanthus, though. We're talking about 25 clumps of probably 20 bulbs each. AAARGH!

Thanks Carol. I believe you grow a lot of roses, right? My favorite rose is rhe Fairy rose. Do you know it? I had a lovely one I had to leave behind when we moved south and haven't tried to replace it because I can't find out if it would do well in our climate.

I found it online but I'm looking for advice from real life gardeners.

Sadly, I don't grow any roses. I think that may be a different Carol...?
