Draw a rough diagram of the room with room dimensions and show placement of door and window.
Take a photo of diagram and post it, it will help you get more responses.
Also take a pic of the tub wall.

Do you have a basement under this bathroom? It would be easier to move toilet if you do.

I think a stand alone shower would be good and would probably give you some storage space. You might have to redo the bathroom :-(

maybe you need all three corner units - shower, sink and toilet all sharing the same access space down the middle of the room.

Moving the doorway would indeed give more floorspace.

I haven't done anything yet, but will be in April when tenants move out. I am still pretty stuck when it comes to doable and affordable ideas for this only bathroom in the house. The space also doesn't have much room for a vanity and/or another piece of furniture for storage. Any additional comments or recommendations would be helpful. I was standing in the shower under the window in the picture that I previously posted.

Since you still have no idea what to do, here's a little something from me. I wish I had more information on sizes and what's behind the sink wall and such, but I gave it a try anyway. Let me know what you think.
If you can move the door there would be more space to stand. You could do a shower where the tub was and a sink next to the toilet, but I thought if you are going to move a doorway, why not close up part of the hallway instead of just the doorway?
This will give you just enough room to have a corner shower left of the toilet, so the sink an go on the right. Remember a toilet needs at least 33" clearance (check your local building code).
